Post-Prandial Glucose
Also known as: Post-meal glucose, PPG
What it actually is
Normal: under 140 mg/dL. Pre-diabetes: 140–199. Diabetes: 200+. PPG often rises before fasting glucose does — making it the earliest warning sign of metabolic trouble.
Why it matters for Pakistanis
Get a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) for 2 weeks if you can — it shows you exactly which foods spike YOUR glucose. Available in Pakistan from Rs. 12,000–18,000 for a 14-day sensor.
