Fasting Glucose
What it actually is
Normal: under 100 mg/dL. Pre-diabetes: 100–125 mg/dL. Diabetes: 126+ mg/dL on two occasions. It tests your liver's overnight glucose output — a key indicator of insulin resistance.
Why it matters for Pakistanis
If your fasting glucose creeps above 100, you're heading toward diabetes. Time to act — diet, walking, weight loss. Test annually after 30, every 6 months if pre-diabetic.
