About

Dr. Hina Mahmood is one of Pakistan's leading dietitians for women's hormonal and reproductive health. After her MS in Clinical Nutrition from the University of the Punjab and an RD certification through the Australian Dietitians Association, she trained with the reproductive endocrinology unit at Shaikh Zayed Hospital. Hina has guided over 400 women through PCOS, gestational diabetes, and postpartum recovery — many of whom conceived naturally after years of failed attempts. Her work has been featured in The News Health pages and she co-leads the women's health series at Ghizayat.

My approach

PCOS rarely responds to a single intervention. I work in three layers: insulin (carbs, timing, walking), inflammation (omega-3s, sugar), and stress (sleep, light, cortisol). For pregnancy and postpartum, I add the layer of nutrient density — folate, choline, iron, B12 — that most generic plans miss completely. Patience and consistency outperform intensity every time.
